The new parking tower will open on March 29, 2014. Patrons will have FREE use of the facility during Heymann Center events. This is great news for Heymann Center patrons and Lafayette General Medical Center. The parking tower should provide significant relief for overcrowded existing lots.
Because some construction is still underway within the hospital, the northeastern lot behind the new parking tower is still ambulance access and valet ONLY. Heymann Center attendees will eventually have use of ALL surrounding lots, including the southwest & northeast lots, the parking garage, and the Center Cinema lot, which is located immediately adjacent to Heymann Memorial park.
Effective March 29, 2014, the Heymann Center has full use of the areas labelled “parking.” See diagram.
